The Extremadura Forest Fire Fighting Plan (Infoex) has deactivated the level 1 of danger past 6:00 p.m. due to a forest fire declared in the municipality of Madrigalejo (Cáceres), moving to level zero.
The fire broke out at 11:15 a.m., activating level 1 at 1:38 p.m. due to its proximity to isolated houses, and deactivating said level with «favorable evolution» and consolidation work on stabilized perimeters without flames, as detailed by the Extremadura government in a press release.
In the extinguishing tasks in the area, eight units of forest firefighters, four air assets, a heavy machinery team, a natural environment agent, and a technician are working, as well as personnel from the Cáceres Provincial Fire Department and the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (MITECO).
The Ministry of Forest Management and Rural World thanks all the participants for their work in the extinguishing tasks.
