The Union of Actors and Actresses announced on Monday that the ‘Mujeres en Unión Pilar Bardem’ award will go to the team of professionals that make up the 016 (service for all forms of violence against women) for their work in providing information, legal advice, and psychosocial support every day.
This was announced by the general secretary of the Union of Actors and Actresses, Silvia de Pé, at the presentation of the 33rd edition of the awards of this professional actors’ union, which will deliver its annual awards on March 10 at a gala at the Circo Price in Madrid.
«I really like the criteria of the 016. I like that it is confidential and handled with care. In fact, our protocol also has these rules and not having to recount things a thousand times,» commented Silvia de Pé to Europa Press.
The director of the 016 service, Adriana Acevedo López, and the general coordinator, Susana Gálvez, stated at the press conference that it is an «honor» to receive this award and encouraged victims and those who know of situations of abuse to use the 016 phone.
Another special award from the Union of Actors and Actresses will go to Ana Belén, who will receive the ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award. «Ana Belén is one of the most respected and applauded actresses in this country and beyond. She has an extensive career, and we want to congratulate her from here,» indicated Silvia De Pé.
Additionally, the ‘Special Union Award’ will go to Gloria de la Fuente, a «reference» for the union who has been part of the technical team of the Union for over 35 years.
