Nintendo has recently expanded its Switch Online library of classic titles with the addition of two beloved games from the 1990s. The first game, Donkey Kong, originally released in 1994 for the Game Boy, is now available for subscribers to enjoy. Alongside Donkey Kong, players can also delve into the world of Mario’s Picross, a puzzle game released in 1995. Both games are now accessible to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers, just in time for Mario Day on March 10.
Donkey Kong, a game that built upon its arcade predecessor, features approximately 100 stages for players to navigate. The storyline revolves around Donkey Kong kidnapping a beautiful woman named Pauline, with Mario embarking on a mission to rescue her. While the Super Game Boy version of the game introduced enhancements, these have not been carried over to the Nintendo Switch release. Nonetheless, players can still enjoy revisiting this classic game in its original form. On the other hand, Mario’s Picross offers a unique gameplay experience, challenging players to solve hundreds of puzzles by chiseling away at boxes to reveal hidden images below.
