The Official Gazette of Extremadura published on Wednesday, the 23rd, the resolution extending the deadline for the single application for the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) from April 30 to May 15.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Sustainable Development justifies this decision stating that the pace of submission of applications by collaborating entities «is not as desired» due to the fact that irrigation areas «are not in an acceptable state for tillage and sowing» as a result of the «abundant» rainfall received since the beginning of the year, as reported by the Junta in a press release.
Likewise, a request has been made to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food (MAPA) to extend this deadline until May 31, as the Junta de Extremadura only has the authority to extend it until May 15. This request, sent to MAPA on April 9, also includes the provision for 15 days in June for modifications.
