«Those who do not comply with the law will pay for it, and those who have come to commit crimes must leave the same way they came,» warned Alma Ezcurra, the Deputy Secretary of Sectorial Coordination of the PP, in statements to the media on Friday. She criticized the government for «deciding to give up» ensuring the safety of millions of Spaniards who «no longer feel secure.»
Therefore, Ezcurra believes that the situation «is very serious»: «We have decided to be the only ones in this country to defend legal, safe, and orderly immigration linked to a job contract and integration.»
«We do this because we believe that immigrants, above all, are human beings who have obligations and rights, and the main obligation in a democracy is to comply with the law,» she added.
The ‘popular’ leader doubts if «there is anyone left in this country who considers it progressive for a policy to abandon its citizens, especially those who need it the most,» something that, in her opinion, «is exactly what is happening in Spain.»
This, in her words, is what has been seen in the town of Torre Pacheco in Murcia or what is seen in the Canary Islands: «And what we see more and more in towns, municipalities, and cities in Spain.»
For the Deputy Secretary of Sectorial Coordination of the PP, «when one gives up defending their borders, takes resources away from municipalities, invades the competences of the autonomous communities, and denies authority to the State Security Forces and Corps, they are not victims of anything, but certainly not champions of defending anyone’s rights.»
«That is what is happening with the Spanish government; it is the main link in a chain of deep lack of protection and death,» Ezcurra concluded.
