Emilio Jiménez has requested the change of name of the Mixed Group to ‘Mixed Group-Vox Navarra’
The Board of Spokespersons of the Parliament of Navarra will decide in its session this Monday, after analyzing a report prepared by the legal services, on the status of Maite Nosti as a non-attached parliamentarian, after leaving the Vox group, as well as the changes in the organization of the regional Chamber.
The Board will also have to decide on Nosti’s request to be part of the Economy and Finance Committee. As a non-attached parliamentarian, she has the right to be part of only one committee. The Board’s decision requires prior agreement from the Spokespersons’ Committee, which will «seek to respect her preferences.»
Nosti decided last Wednesday to leave Vox and the parliamentary group due to a «distance» with the party’s current line led by Santiago Abascal. Her departure resulted in the dissolution of the Vox group because its existence requires a number of regional parliamentarians not less than two. Also, the loss of the positions and roles she held.
The other Vox parliamentarian, Emilio Jiménez, has become, as the sole member, part of the Mixed Group. In this regard, the Board will also decide on Jiménez’s request to change the name to ‘Mixed Group-Vox Navarra’.
MOTION TO REJECT THE REARMAMENT PLAN OF EUROPE
The agenda also includes a motion from Contigo-Zurekin by which the Parliament of Navarra rejects the ‘ReArm Europe’ Plan and urges the Spanish Government to reject «this bellicose plan.» The coalition has presented another motion urging the Navarro Institute of Memory to conduct a study on the Navarrese who were part of the Republican army in the Civil War and to take the necessary actions to «dignify their heroic memory».
UPN, on the other hand, has filed a motion urging the Spanish Government to recognize the risks of the profession of Navarra’s Police and, where appropriate, make the declaration of a risky profession on the same terms as the members of the National Police or the Civil Guard in RDL 1087/2015. The regionalists also want to urge the Government of Navarra to carry out a «clear and objective» definition of the hard-to-fill positions in the Navarra Health Service.
Geroa Bai has presented an initiative that urges the Government of Navarra to dismantle the Shooting Range of Las Bardenas and develop a socio-economic development plan for the neighboring entities; and the PSN wants to urge the regional government to update the report ‘Estimation of the submerged economy and diagnosis of fiscal fraud in Navarra’.
In the section of appearances, UPN has requested the Minister of the Interior, Public Function, and Justice, Amparo López, to report on the situation of the work for the new Statute of the personnel serving the Public Administrations of Navarra and the expected deadlines for the approval of the regional Law project; and for the Minister of the Presidency and Equality, Félix Taberna, to explain the evaluation of the Universal Accessibility Operational Plan for 2024.
On the other hand, the resolution of the Director General of Energy, R&D&I Business, and Entrepreneurship has been referred to the Board and Committee, by which the formalized commission through an agreement with the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Services of Navarra is approved to promote the creation of energy communities in industrial estates.
In addition, political representatives will vote on a proposal for an institutional declaration, proposed by the Chamber’s Presidency, in which the Parliament of Navarra supports the candidacy of Pamplona as Spanish Capital of Social Economy in 2026.
