Spanish President Pedro Sánchez has reaffirmed his commitment to «abolish prostitution» during his appearance before the Plenary of the Congress of Deputies to report on the alleged corruption cases of former minister José Luis Ábalos and former PSOE organization secretary Santos Cerdán.
«That report and those audios contain sexist comments and behaviors that are the opposite of my values and what my party represents. I would like to reaffirm my organization’s commitment to the abolition of prostitution,» Sánchez emphasized shortly after starting his intervention in the Lower House.
The head of the Government has stated that «discovering both things was a hard blow» for him and has once again apologized. «And, furthermore, I want to do it from here, from the headquarters of national sovereignty. It is evident that I made a mistake in trusting José Luis Ábalos and Santos Cerdán,» he stressed.
