Remember the need to report and link to the protocol against assaults that exists in the Burgos collegiate body
The Official College of Physicians of Burgos has expressed its condemnation for the assault suffered by a physician at the José Luis Santamaría health center in the capital of Burgos and has conveyed all the «support and solidarity» to the assaulted professional.
The incident dates back to last Thursday, when officers from the Local and National Police went to the mentioned health center alerted by an assault of a patient on one of the healthcare professionals.
The members of both forces managed to subdue the aggressor, a 30-year-old man with psychiatric problems, who was later subdued and taken to the Police Station.
Once again, the College of Physicians supports colleagues who may be assaulted and reminds of the existence of a protocol against assaults while offering the support of the Legal Advisory of Combu.
In parallel, it has pointed out that assaulting a public healthcare professional in the performance of their duties is classified as an attack on authority in the Penal Code.
