The article discusses the transfer of possible irregularities in the management of economic and contractual works in five public Vocational Training centers in Madrid to the Court of Instruction number 39. These irregularities were detected by the Ministry of Education, Science, and Universities and reported to Europa Press. The Court is currently processing the preliminary proceedings related to a complaint filed by the Ministry last year concerning alleged irregularities in the contracting of renovation works at the educational complex Ciudad Escolar.
Since then, the Ministry of Education has been reviewing the actions taken at various FP centers in the region in collaboration with the General Intervention of the Community of Madrid. Any indications of irregularities found during these reviews have been reported to the authorities for further investigation. The Community of Madrid has requested to participate as a private prosecution in the case to protect the interests of the regional administration. They are awaiting a decision from Court number 39 on their request to be accepted as a party to the proceedings.
Recently, the PSOE, acting as a public accuser in the case, asked the judge overseeing the proceedings to expand the investigation to include the renovation of the Madrilenian Institute of Educational Innovation and the former Carlos Solé school in Vallecas.
These developments highlight the ongoing efforts to address potential irregularities in the management of public works in educational institutions in Madrid. The collaboration between the Ministry of Education, the Court of Instruction, and other relevant authorities demonstrates a commitment to ensuring transparency and accountability in the administration of public funds. It is crucial to address any irregularities promptly to uphold the integrity and efficiency of the educational system in the region.
