Nintendo of America has officially announced the availability of the game-themed alarm clock, Alarmo, to the general public. This means that anyone can now purchase the bright red alarm clock, regardless of whether they have a Switch Online membership. The Alarmo comes with several built-in themes to choose from, including Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4, and Ring Fit Adventure. Nintendo has also promised that additional themes, such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons, will be made available for free in the future. In addition to online availability, Alarmo will also be sold in select stores starting in March and in other regions.
Initially, Alarmo was only available for purchase by Nintendo Switch Online members back in October. However, this changed recently when Nintendo made the announcement that Alarmo is now available on the My Nintendo store without the need for a Nintendo Switch Online membership.
Alarmo is not just your regular alarm clock; it can wake you up and put you to sleep with sounds and animations from your selected theme. It also features a motion sensor for sleep tracking, although a review by Engadget found this feature to be somewhat limited in its usefulness. One charming aspect of Alarmo is that the characters will celebrate when you finally manage to get out of bed. However, it does come with a price tag of $100. Nevertheless, the idea of being greeted by a group of Pikmin every morning is certainly appealing.
For more information on Alarmo and to make a purchase, you can visit the My Nintendo store. Be sure to grab yours while supplies last. The article originally appeared on Engadget and was shared by Nintendo of America on Twitter on February 14, 2025.
