Servier Spain and Juan XXIII Foundation have presented ‘Dreaming as a Family’, a two-year project to help vulnerable households from their own environment through a space for growth, learning, and support for both children and their parents.
The initiative is aimed at families with children in early development age who have neurodevelopmental disorders or are at risk of developing them, in a situation of psychosocial vulnerability that prevents them from accessing traditional Early Intervention services, as highlighted by the promoters in a statement.
In this way, ‘Dreaming as a Family’ aims to have an integral impact on the development of children without the need to separate them from their environment.
This approach in the Early Intervention of the Foundation promotes equal opportunities in access to services, participation in the community environment, and strengthening of social relationships. It also aims to improve cognitive, social, and motor skills of children.
Within the framework of this joint project between both entities, a system of continuous monitoring and permanent meetings has been implemented to ensure effective coordination and the achievement of established objectives. It also stands out for incorporating a focus on volunteering.
«At Servier Spain, we are proud to support the ‘Dreaming as a Family’ project, which reflects our commitment to the social well-being and integral development of the most vulnerable families. This collaboration with Juan XXIII Foundation underlines our dedication to generating a positive impact on society and promoting equal opportunities,» said François Debaillon-Vesque, General Manager of Servier Spain.
For Lorea Fernández-Baldor Sáinz de la Maza, Director of Early Intervention at Juan XXIII Foundation, this project «allows universal access to this type of care, minimizes the impact on families at a logistical and economic level, promotes a community network, and coordination among the different agents involved.»
