Renfe has established a mobility plan in response to the closure of the Cercanías service between the Príncipe Pío and Pinar de las Rozas stations from this Friday until March 3, both inclusive. This plan includes two bus services and a modification to the route of line C-10.
Due to infrastructure improvement works, the following stations will not be in service: Las Rozas, Majadahonda, El Barrial, Pozuelo, and Aravaca (lines C-7 between Alcalá de Henares and Príncipe Pío, and line C-10 between Villalba and Aeropuerto T4).
CERCANÍAS SERVICE
- Line C-10: Will follow the usual route Villalba-Príncipe Pío, but with a different route after Pinar de las Rozas. Trains on this line will take the route of Pitis-Chamartín-Nuevos Ministerios-Recoletos-Atocha-Príncipe Pío.
- Line C-7: Will only operate between Alcalá de Henares and the Pitis station. Passengers wanting to continue to Príncipe Pío will need to transfer to a C10 train that reaches the station via Atocha-Méndez Álvaro-Delicias-Pirámides.
ALTERNATIVE BUS SERVICE
During the four-day closure, two special bus services will be available with stops near the affected stations. - Special Service 1: This route will cover Pinar de Las Rozas – Las Rozas – Majadahonda – El Barrial – Pozuelo – Príncipe Pío, without stopping at Aravaca.
- Special Service 2: This option will go from Aravaca to Príncipe Pío without intermediate stops.
TRANSFERS FOR MEDIUM-DISTANCE TRAVELERS
Medium-distance Renfe services originating or terminating at Príncipe Pío station and passing through Castilla y León will have their usual routes modified to start and end at the Villalba station. - Passengers of Regional train 18001 will travel between Príncipe Pío and Villalba on a bus that departs at 6:20 a.m.
- Medium-distance trains with origins and/or destinations at Príncipe Pío will transfer at Villalba station to continue their journey on Cercanías Madrid trains.
