The Employment Fair organized by the Zaragoza City Council in its 2025 edition brings together 16 percent more entities and companies, reaching a total of 70 participants, with more job offers expected to be added in the coming days. All these opportunities aim to address the job concerns of Zaragoza residents looking for new opportunities or their first job.
The municipal councilor of Economy, Digital Transformation, and Transparency, Carlos Gimeno, presented this initiative held at the Multiusos room of the Auditorium on Thursday, March 13, from 10:00 to 14:00. During this four-hour event managed by the Zaragoza City Council’s Orientation and Insertion Service of the Municipal Institute of Employment and Business Development (IMEFEZ), representatives from entities and companies will collect resumes and meet candidates face to face to kickstart the selection process.
One of the key values of these companies is the need to fill the job positions offered in the short and medium term.
This year, taking into account only the vacancies communicated by the companies, there are over 900 job offers aiming to be filled soon. This represents a fourfold increase compared to the third edition, which had 241 offers.
This public-private initiative has, over the years, brought together various job opportunities in a single day to provide an alternative employment option for thousands of citizens. The Fair serves as a meeting point between job seekers and companies, providing an opportunity for representatives to exchange experiences.
Some participating entities represent a group of companies they belong to, a business association, or a cluster, which significantly increases the number of job positions offered. The sectors covered by the attending companies are diverse, including services for companies and individuals, engineering and programming, sales, welders, logistics operators, healthcare and social care personnel, cleaning and retail staff.
The Employment Fair also sees the collaboration of companies long established in Zaragoza and others without a physical presence in the city, relying on its talent pool to strengthen their workforce. Even students or recent graduates seeking direct interaction with the Human Resources personnel of these companies can find opportunities here.
The list of participating companies includes job offers from Amazon, Atades, Grupo Costa, Bauhaus, Decathlon, Eulen, Decathlon, Pikolín, Ikea, Grupo Lacor, Grupo Sesé, Fundación DFA, Grupo Quirón, or Tecnara, as well as the Ministry of Defense and the National Police. Many of them have been part of the Fair in 2024.
