Mio Group, the marketing consultancy of the Arbeloa brothers (including former Real Madrid footballer Álvaro Arbeloa), recorded a net loss of 3.62 million euros in 2024, representing a 22.4% increase from the 2.95 million euros in red figures reported in the previous year, according to the company’s accounts published on the BME Growth.
Additionally, the company generated 58.45 million euros in revenue, a year-on-year decrease of 9.56% compared to the 64.63 million euros earned in 2023.
Mio Group’s net operating result (EBIT) closed 2024 with negative figures of 1.65 million euros, compared to the positive EBIT of 44,087 euros achieved in the previous period.
On the other hand, the gross operating result (EBITDA) stood at 1 million euros, representing a 61.5% reduction compared to the 2.6 million euros in 2023.
Regarding the drop in EBITDA, the company highlighted that it was «an expected evolution» due to the investments made in 2023 to «support the group’s expansion.»
«In particular, there has been a 1.6% increase in personnel costs (245,000 euros more) and a 10.5% increase in other operating costs (516,000 euros more) mainly associated with the full operational integration of the subsidiary in Colombia and the SuperReal company, whose activities were not fully reflected in the previous year’s accounts as they were incorporated into the group in the second half of 2023,» the management report adds.
Nevertheless, the company expects that in the «coming years,» the synergies resulting from these operations, the implementation of technology, and the «strategic decisions made» will help optimize its operational efficiency.
On the other hand, Mio Group’s net financial debt as of December 31, 2024, reached 11.58 million euros, a 0.85% increase from the 11.48 million euros in the previous year.
